Managing and storing large image datasets
We provide solutions for managing, storing and safeguarding large volumes of image data in databases that can be operated as standalone applications as well as in client/server environments.
Thanks to our extensive experience with modern statistical methods, we can also provide scientifically sound reports on the results when needed – including clear, compelling graphics.
Cameras, GPU and software
Solid hardware expertise is essential for robust and high-performance computer vision solutions. We regularly work with current industrial cameras and camera modules and integrate them into stable software systems. For high performance, we rely on parallelized algorithms and – where useful or required – GPU computing to leverage modern graphics hardware.
From idea to production-ready solution
We support projects in a structured way from initial requirements clarification through to stable operation. In an initial discussion, we define target metrics, tolerances, constraints and how the solution will later be integrated into your system environment. We then review the available image, video, 3D or measurement data for quality, variability and completeness, or we work with you on how initial data can be generated. Based on this, we provide a feasibility assessment and, if needed, develop a proof of concept with transparent metrics.
During prototyping we iteratively optimize detection, analysis and measurement logic: we review edge cases, typical failure modes and variations caused, for example, by lighting, perspective or material properties.
The goal is a robust solution that works reliably under real-world conditions. For production rollout, we support integration into existing processes – including interfaces to databases, web services or manufacturing systems.

Operation, scaling and quality assurance
Depending on requirements, we implement operation as a standalone application, a client/server system or a cloud service. We pay attention to source control, release management, reproducible delivery and a clear separation between test and production environments. If desired, we provide evaluation and reporting features that make it easy to track metrics and trends over time – for example error rates, measurement deviations or quality indicators per batch.
