Software for machine vision
Here you will find an overview of our software products and tools for machine vision and image analysis – from measurement and counting tasks to quality inspection, color analysis and browser-based online tools. For project-specific custom solutions, we also recommend taking a look at our project page as well as our free feasibility study (PoC) and the implementation steps.
General-purpose applications
Dat-inf Measure - measurement in images
Dat-inf Measure is a software solution for precise, vector-based measurements in digital images. With this software, you can determine distances, angles and areas directly in images.
After an image has been loaded, the scale must be defined using an image element of known size. Measure offers various vector-based measurement objects that are placed over the original image similarly to drawing programs. These objects immediately provide the corresponding measurement values, such as lengths, areas or angle values.

Dat-inf Scientific Counter
Scientific Counter is a flexible software solution for counting cells, colonies, particles or other objects in digital images. The software is equally suitable for measuring holes or inclusions in stone, concrete or foams. It can be flexibly adapted to a wide variety of requirements using numerous settings.
Use Scientific Counter to automate time-consuming research tasks and for quality assurance. Never count by hand again!

Dat-inf Object Counter
ObjectCounter is a Windows program for counting any objects in digital photos. Counted objects are marked with dots. Objects of different classes can be assigned to groups.
In the standard version, counting is done with a mouse click (or by tapping on a touchscreen). In the professional version, scripts for automatic object detection and classification can be executed.

Dat-inf Color Analysis
The ColorAnalysis software is used to analyze image data in which color-similar areas in an image are detected and isolated by adjusting color parameters. A color region can be selected to define specific color areas. Using the weighting settings, each color range can be enlarged or reduced.
The color regions are then analyzed, with the area of the color-similar segments calculated as a group in each case. It is also possible to define a scale for the image in order to obtain correct size information.

Dat-inf Image Overlay
Image overlays with ImageOverlay are impressive and very well suited for searching digital images for differences in similar objects or for demonstrating matches.
ImageOverlay was originally developed for use in medicine, especially to document changes over time. Wherever no dedicated specialist software exists and changes or differences need to be visualized, this software can be helpful.

Dat-inf Chip Counter
In chip manufacturing, individual chips are sawn out of silicon wafers and then installed in housings. The wafers themselves are produced using a complex photolithographic process. During production, the wafers are already inspected for defects, and defective chips are marked with colored markings.
The ChipCounter software can analyze high-resolution images of the wafers, automatically detect both the chips and the defect markings, and output them for inspection or further processing. This makes the inspection process more efficient and improves quality assurance.
Dat-inf Webcam Control
Modern webcams are controlled and configured using the UVC protocol. The Dat-inf Webcam Control software allows camera parameters to be set and saved permanently and images to be stored in a configurable directory. An overlay image can be loaded, and there is a switch to keep the live image always in the foreground.
If required, the software can easily be adapted to special requests.
Dat-inf RTSP Control
With this software, almost any number of RTSP streams can be managed via multiple instances and displayed for monitoring or image review. The number of streams is primarily limited by the available network bandwidth.
Dat-inf Speech-To-Text
For an offline speech-to-text solution, we used OpenAI's open-source Whisper speech recognition as the basis for a Windows implementation. Smooth operation requires a powerful PC. Models of different complexity can be used, so less powerful hardware can also work when recognition requirements are lower.
This software can, for example, trigger recordings or switch lighting by voice.
Software for specific tasks
Online tools directly in the browser
Our software portfolio also includes browser-based online tools that allow image analysis, visualization and technical calculations to be tested directly without installation.
These tools are suitable for quick demonstrations, practical helper functions and initial technical assessments in the browser.

Dat-inf RandList
With the Dat-inf RandList software, randomization lists for scientific and clinical studies can be generated quickly and easily without any programming. Random allocations of subjects to different study arms are created, and more complex designs such as stratified or block-based randomization are also supported. The software is frequently used in medical research to ensure valid study results.

Dat-inf NettSend
Dat-inf NettSend is a peer-to-peer (P2P) LAN instant messenger that works without external servers and operates in the local network based on zero-configuration networking.
The software is ideal for internal company communication in smaller networks. NettSend was originally developed for larger medical practices and has often become indispensable there in day-to-day operations.
Unlike other instant messengers, no external server is required. System administration effort is minimal. As soon as NettSend is started on one PC, that PC registers itself with the other NettSend PCs in the same LAN segment and becomes reachable for NettSend messages.
