Computer vision software
Here you’ll find an overview of our software products and solutions for computer vision and image analysis – from measurement and counting tasks to quality inspection, 3D monitoring, and specialized applications. For project inquiries, we recommend taking a look at our free feasibility study (PoC) and the implementation steps.
Universal applications
Dat-inf Measure - Measurement in images
Dat-inf Measure is a software solution for precise, vector-based measurements in digital images. It allows you to measure distances, angles, and areas directly in images.
After loading an image, the scale must be defined using an element of known size. Measure provides various vector-based measuring objects that can be placed on top of the original image similar to drawing applications. These objects immediately provide the corresponding measurements, such as lengths, areas, or angles.

Dat-inf Scientific Counter
Scientific Counter is a flexible software solution for counting cells, colonies, particles, or other objects in digital images. It can also be used to measure holes or inclusions in stone, concrete, or foam materials. With a wide range of settings, the software can be adapted to many different requirements.
Use Scientific Counter to automate time-consuming research tasks and for quality assurance. Never count by hand again!

Dat-inf Object Counter
Object Counter is a Windows program for counting arbitrary objects in digital photos. Counted objects are marked with points. Objects from different classes can be assigned to groups.
In the Standard version, counting is done by mouse click (or tapping on a touchscreen). In the Professional version, scripts for automatic object detection and classification can be executed.

Dat-inf Color Analysis
Color Analysis is used to analyze image data by detecting and isolating color-similar regions in an image using color parameters. A color region can be selected to define specific color ranges. Using the weighting settings, each color range can be expanded or reduced.
The software then analyzes the color regions and calculates the area of each color-similar segment as a group. Optionally, you can define a scale for the image to obtain accurate size values.

Dat-inf Image Overlay
Image overlays with Image Overlay are impressive and well suited for quickly finding differences in similar objects or demonstrating matching results in digital images.
Image Overlay was originally developed for medical applications, especially to document changes over time. Wherever no specialized software is available and changes or differences need to be visualized, this tool can be very helpful.

Dat-inf 3DGuardX
Using Intel RealSense 3D cameras, robust area monitoring can be implemented. The 3DGuardX software helps you define the monitored area, set thresholds or minimum sizes for an alarm or switching signal, and configure reactions.
The software is suitable for different scenarios:
- Security monitoring
- Switching devices or lighting when someone enters/drives into an area
- Touchless virtual switch, e.g., for museums or shop windows
Dat-inf Chip Counter
In chip manufacturing, individual chips are cut out of silicon wafers and then packaged. The wafers themselves are produced using complex photolithographic processes. During production, wafers are inspected for defects, and faulty chips are marked with color codes.
The ChipCounter software analyzes high-resolution wafer images, automatically detects chips and defect markings, and outputs results for verification or further processing. This makes inspection more efficient and improves quality assurance.
Dat-inf Webcam Control
Modern webcams are controlled and configured using the UVC protocol. The Dat-inf Webcam Control software lets you adjust and permanently store camera parameters and save images to a configurable directory. You can load an overlay image and enable a switch to keep the live view always on top.
If needed, the software can be easily adapted to specific requirements.
Dat-inf RTSP Control
This software can manage almost any number of RTSP streams across multiple instances and display them for monitoring or image inspection. The number of streams is primarily limited by the available network bandwidth.
Dat-inf Speech-To-Text
For an offline speech-to-text solution, we used OpenAI’s open-source Whisper speech recognition as the basis for a Windows implementation. To work smoothly, this software requires a powerful PC. Different speech model sizes can be used, so less powerful hardware can work for lower accuracy requirements.
For example, this software can be used to trigger recordings by voice or switch lighting.

Dat-inf RandList
Dat-inf RandList quickly and easily generates randomization lists for scientific and clinical studies without requiring any programming. It creates random assignments of subjects to different study arms and also supports more complex designs such as stratified or block randomization. The software is frequently used in medical research to ensure valid study results.

Dat-inf NettSend
Dat-inf NettSend is a peer-to-peer (P2P) LAN instant messenger that works without external servers and uses zero-configuration networking within the local network.
The software is ideal for internal communication in smaller networks. NettSend was originally developed for larger medical practices and is often an integral part of day-to-day operations there.
Unlike many instant messengers, no external server is required. Administration effort is minimal. As soon as NettSend is started on a PC, it announces itself to other NettSend PCs in the same LAN segment and can receive NettSend messages.
