3D capture with multiple camera perspectives

Initial situation: Complex objects often require multiple perspectives and image series suitable for reconstruction in order to generate reliable 3D data.

Solution: Our 3D scanner demonstrates a modular multi-camera system in which several stereo modules are combined into a scalable measurement environment.

Result: 3D data, meshes and image series suitable for reconstruction can be provided for analysis, visualization and further processing.

Project example: 3DGuardX

3D space monitoring with Intel RealSense

Initial situation: Robust monitoring of rooms, passageways or interaction zones requires systems that evaluate not only 2D image data, but also depth information.

Solution: 3DGuardX was developed as an application-specific solution for space monitoring with Intel RealSense 3D cameras. Monitoring areas, thresholds, minimum sizes and reactions can be configured to fit the task.

Result: A flexible special-purpose solution for safety monitoring, touchless switches or the automatic switching of devices and lighting.

3DGuardX for 3D space monitoring

Completed project: quality inspection of slab track in the Gotthard Base Tunnel

Initial situation: The Gotthard Base Tunnel is designed for high travel speeds and places special demands on the track infrastructure. Air inclusions can form in the slab track and impair stability.

Solution: Dat-inf developed a special acquisition and analysis system for the technical quality inspection of the installed structures and tolerances.

Result: The permissible tolerances could be verified reliably and the quality assessment documented reproducibly.

Completed project: bank displacement caused by inland shipping

Initial situation: Together with the DST Development Center for Ship Technology and Transport Systems, the goal was to capture the displacement of gravel in shore-adjacent areas caused by ship movements.

Solution: Dat-inf developed a method and corresponding software for detecting and evaluating these displacement effects.

Result: The changes could be visualized systematically and evaluated reproducibly for hydrodynamic questions.

Kamakqua

Initial situation: In the quality inspection of roof tiles, camera-based images and acoustic signals were to be used together.

Solution: Development of a system for the combined evaluation of these data sources using AI-supported methods.

Result: An application-oriented R&D project for extended quality inspection with multiple signal sources.

Dig-CirclE

Initial situation: In the Dig-CirclE project, data capture, quality assurance and measurement tasks for fiber-reinforced composite materials were to be supported technically.

Solution: As an IT partner, Dat-inf supports device integration, the automation of data capture and AI-supported data and image processing.

Result: A project contribution for reliable data capture and quality assurance processes in a research context.

Dig-CirclE - acquisition software with industrial camera

RELAST

Initial situation: In the Eurostars project RELAST, a measurement system was to be developed for detecting reduced hypertrophy during scar formation.

Solution: Dat-inf worked on the subproject for developing a suitable measurement system for this medical-technical issue.

Result: A specialized measurement approach within a funded international research project.
